Trimble Energy Group (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through trimbleenergygroup.com, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

Newsletter sign-up. When you subscribe, we collect your first and last name, email address, and optionally your company name, phone number and any comment you include. We also record the date of your sign-up and your IP address, which helps us prevent spam and fraudulent sign-ups.

Email engagement. Our newsletter records whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. Links may include tracking tags that tell us a visit came from the newsletter. We use this only to understand which content is useful to readers.

Website security. Like most websites, our site and hosting provider log IP addresses and activity for security purposes, such as blocking repeated failed login attempts.

Contact page map. Our contact page displays a map from OpenStreetMap. When you load that page, your browser connects to OpenStreetMap and a related content service, which may receive your IP address.

We do not use advertising trackers or analytics services on our website, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

How we use your information

We use your information to send you our Monthly Market Recap and occasional announcements of assets we are marketing, to respond to your enquiries, and to keep our website secure. Our team may see new subscriber details so we know who has joined.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run our website and send email, including our web host and Amazon Web Services (Amazon Simple Email Service), which delivers our newsletter. Emails you send us, including replies to our newsletter, are handled by our email provider, Microsoft 365. These providers process information on our behalf only. Our website is hosted by an Alberta-based provider, and our newsletter is sent through Amazon’s Canadian data centre. A few services, such as the map on our contact page, are run by companies outside Canada, so limited information like your IP address may be processed there.

Unsubscribing and your choices

Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribes take effect immediately. After you unsubscribe, we keep your subscriber record, marked as unsubscribed, so that we do not email you again. You can ask us to delete it at any time. You can subscribe again at any time.

Access and correction

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us below. We will respond within the time required by law.

How long we keep information

We keep subscriber information while you are subscribed, and for as long as needed afterwards to honour your unsubscribe request or meet legal obligations.
